About Noisefall: Sleep & Focus Sounds
Noisefall is built by one person, Joe, in the open. Most updates add a new sound or preset — usually whatever people ask for through the in-app "Note to Joe". It's serverless: your mixes live on your device, and the share link is the whole portability story. Nothing is collected but the email and purchase state needed to run a subscription.

Does Noisefall work without internet?
Yes. The core sounds ship inside the app and the noise colours are generated on your device, so playback, layering, and the sleep timer all work fully offline. Premium can download the rest of the library for flights.
Does the sound keep playing when my phone locks?
Yes — that's the whole point. Audio continues through screen lock and app switch, all night, with lock-screen controls. The sleep timer fades it out and stops when you've set it to.
Will it mute on the iPhone silent switch?
No. A sleep app that goes quiet on silent is broken, so Noisefall intentionally ignores the ring/silent switch and plays through it.
What's free and what's Premium?
Free includes 10 sounds (all four noise colours among them), up to 2 layers at once, 4 presets, one saved mix, and the full sleep and focus timers. Premium unlocks all 28 sounds, 8 layers, every preset, 50 saved mixes, and one-tap offline downloads.
Can a friend play a mix I share without the app?
Yes. A share link opens the mix in their browser and plays on the first tap — no install. Premium sounds in a shared mix play free for 7 days.
Is this a tinnitus or insomnia treatment?
No. Noisefall is for relaxing, sleeping, and focusing — it makes no medical claims. Many people use noise to mask tinnitus, but masking is a use, not a treatment.
